One voice, writing across several topics. The throughline is the perspective, not the subject.
I'm a senior manager at a UK accountancy firm, chartered by trade, with a particular interest in construction and inheritance tax. Day to day that means managing a team, accounts and tax work, and helping family businesses hold on to what they've built.
More recently it also means being a parent of three under three, with a 2-year-old and newborn twins, which has taught me more about time, money, and priorities than any exam ever did. Carried Forward is where those two worlds meet.
I write in the first person and without my name attached, on purpose. This isn't a personal brand or a shopfront for clients. It's a place to think out loud about money, work, and the decisions that shape both, in plain English, and without the jargon unless I'm explaining it.
